Tiny Tots Program (Ages 2–6)

At Stark Ranch, our Tiny Tots Program is a fun, safe, and exciting four-week introduction to the world of horses and ranch life for our youngest equestrians. Designed specifically for children ages 2–6, this progressive beginner program focuses on building confidence, teaching safety, and creating positive experiences around horses while helping children develop a love and respect for these incredible animals.

Children participate in guided lead-line riding, hands-on grooming activities, simple ranch chores, feeding routines, and age-appropriate horse education designed to introduce the foundations of horsemanship. Along the way, Tiny Tots learn basic horse safety, introductory horse care, common saddle and tack terminology, basic horse anatomy, and why we care for horses the way we do.

Our goal is exposure, education, and excitement, helping young riders become comfortable around large animals while building curiosity and enthusiasm for learning to ride and care for horses as they grow.

This program is intentionally introductory in nature. Tiny Tots is not designed to create advanced riding skills, but rather to provide a safe and supportive environment where children can develop confidence, learn foundational equestrian concepts, and take their very first steps into the equestrian lifestyle.

Upon completion of the four-week program, children may choose to continue their equestrian journey through private riding lessons or transition into our Junior Program as they become ready for more advanced learning and skill development.

At Stark Ranch, we believe great horsemen and horsewomen begin with strong foundations, and every equestrian journey starts with a first ride.
